Language

Our Language program helps students communicate effectively in today’s diverse world. We nurture a love for reading, writing, and speaking, empowering them to express themselves clearly and confidently. We prepare children for a connected world by fostering a love for languages and different cultures.

Learning Area Purpose
The Language Program equips learners to
- Learn what language means and how it works.
- Understand different types of reading materials and appreciate great literature.
- Learn to express themselves clearly and creatively, and to adapt the content of their communication to the audience they’re communicating with.

Writing Process
The writing process is a significant part of the language program where all writing is treated as a creative act which requires time and positive feedback. Students use feedback to modify their work and have to return to the prewriting step to develop and expand their ideas.
Prewrite
Our students brainstorm ideas, decide on a topic, and plan their approach.
Research
They find relevant sources, collect information, and organise their findings.
Draft
Our students rearrange their paragraphs, replace unclear language, and improve their content.
Revise
Our students rearrange their paragraphs, replace unclear language, and improve their content.
Edit & Proofread
As a last step, they check their formatting, grammar, and punctuation to ensure a polished final product.
