The Dinosaur at Ekya Nava: A Symbol of Evolution and Innovation

The Dinosaur at Ekya Nava

Embodied at the heart of our collaborative and interdisciplinary approach is the dinosaur project, where design thinking, making, and innovation converge. This iconic creature was first conceptualised using fundamental principles of physics and mathematics to engineer a massive, tilted horizontal plane balanced on two pivots, minimizing its footprint.

Through iterative design refinement and prototyping, the initial concept evolved into a scaled replica of the dinosaur. This transformative journey showcases the power of technology and innovation, where ideas sketched on paper can be brought to life as tangible, three-dimensional models.

Our dinosaur project exemplifies the magic that unfolds when creativity, design, and making intersect, inspiring a new generation of innovators, thinkers, and makers.

At first glance, a dinosaur might seem like an unusual symbol for a school. After all, dinosaurs belong to the past, while schools shape the future. But at Ekya Nava, our dinosaur is more than just a relic of history-it is a testament to evolution and innovation, two forces that drive progress in both nature and education.

Evolution is the story of adaptation, resilience, and growth. Just as species evolved to survive and thrive in changing environments, education too must evolve to meet the needs of a dynamic world. Learning is not static; it requires curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace change.

Innovation is the next step in this journey.

It is about taking the lessons of the past and using them to build something new.

Whether it’s in science, technology, or the way we think and learn, innovation is what propels us forward. At Ekya Nava, we encourage students to question, explore, and create- to not just learn about the world, but to shape it.

Our dinosaur stands as a reminder that while the past informs us, it is innovation that defines our future. It represents our commitment to continuous learning, to thinking beyond the conventional, and to preparing our students to lead in an ever-changing world.
